Martin Mansergh TD, Minister of State, launched the latest Discovery Programme publication Lough Kinale: Studies of an Irish Lake at a reception in the Royal society of Antiquaries in Dublin on 21 April. Although there have been a number of minor publications, this book (principal authors, Dr Christina Fredengren, Dr Annaba Kilfeather and Dr Ingelise Stuijts) is the first major outcome from the Lake settlement Project.

Two other volumes from this project will be appearing in the coming years. This full colour, large-format book has 284 pages and over 130 illustrations. It is published for the Discovery Programme by Wordwell Ltd and is available in bookshops or directly from the publishers for €40.
