15th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists
CALL FOR PAPERS

EAA 15th Annual Meeting

The European Association of Archaeologists (EAA) is a membership-based association open to all archaeologists and other related or interested individuals or bodies. Currently the EAA has over 1100 members from 41 countries world-wide working in prehistory, classical, medieval and later archaeology. They include academics, aerial archaeologists, environmental archaeologists, field archaeologists, heritage managers, historians, museum curators, researchers, scientists, teachers, conservators, underwater archaeologists and students of archaeology (website http://www.e-a-a.org/).

The EAA meets annually in September, every year in a different country of Europe. These are very lively and well-attended conferences, in usually very beautiful environments.  This is the place to meet colleagues and make new friends.

This year, the EAA meeting will be held in the Congress centre of Riva del Garda, Italy. This is a small picturesque town on the northern shore of Lake Garda.

This year the Discovery Programme will co-organize one of the sessions. The organisers are Dr Andrea Vianello (Intute, University of Oxford), Claire Anderson (National Museum of Ireland) and Dr Ingelise Stuijts (The Discovery Programme).

We would like to invite interested speakers to come to Riva del Garda and contribute to our session ‘Movements across and along water within landmasses’.
