Ian is the in-house graphic designer for The Discovery Programme since March 2013. Ian initially worked on the ‘Traces of the Past Exhibition’ an EU initiative under the umbrella of ArchaeoLandscapes. Working with Rob Shaw, Anthony Corns and Ciaron Fitzpatrick the aim was to bring together experts from across Europe to promote and develop the use of remote sensing within archaeology. The exhibition was launched in the Dublin Civic Offices in May / June 2013 and travelled to Galway, Mayo, Portumna and Dublin Airport as well as Duke University in the USA, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
His next major assignment was ‘Dún Aonghasa - The Guidebook’ in partnership with Claire Cotter. This richly illustrated guidebook was released in June 2014 and has already sold well over 2,000 copies. Ian is now working on a guidebook for Tara with Mairead Carew which will be published by Spring 2015. Ian has been involved in various other projects throughout his time in The Discovery programme including the re-design of the logo, conferences, annual reports, Arcland Booklets, the 3D-Icons website, Archaeology 2025 branding and much more.
